Small Business News | Small businesses miss out on benefits of social media

According to an article in The Independent, new Insurantz.com research claims that failure of small businesses to engage with the world of social networking is costing them a substantial amount of money. Of the 1000 UK SMEs that were surveyed, just 16% have Facebook or Twitter accounts. Nearly a quarter of SME owners aged 18-21 see social media as an essential tool for any modern business, whereas fewer than one in ten over 40s shares the same opinion, the figures revealed.  For the full story, please visit the Independent website.
