After almost a week of airport closures, the first flight since last Thursday took off from Heathrow airport this morning. Our very own Gordon Mackintosh wrote about the debacle yesterday and spoke of the effect on small business; however, it looks like things are slowly starting to ease.
Faced with days of delays and disruptions, the world’s busiest airport is requesting special dispensation to allow overnight flights, in an attempt to clear the backlog caused by the weeklong shut down of UK airspace.
